My New Friend Will, CareScribe and Their Neurodiversity Guide

I am always amazed at the interesting and innovative companies and people I meet through LinkedIn. One of these is Will from CareScribe. They build leading edge assistive technology software to eliminate the barriers that many neurodistinct groups face. I had a long and enjoyable Zoom with Will and learned his story and what CareScribe is all about. Great people doing great things even if they do use neurodivergent instead of neurodistinct!!

Will mentioned and then shared a guide they had created and provide free of cost that I thought is a great resource many people and organisations could benefit from. To help get it out to the world I thought I would do a blog post telling a little about what CareScribe is about and share the link to their wonderful resource guide.

CareScribe is an early-stage start-up in the UK, founded by a neurodivergent team, they appreciate the importance of making neurodiversity in the workplace a priority area. However, every organisation has room for improvement, and we recognise they must continue themselves to engage in efforts to fully embrace neurodiversity while ensuring it remains at the front of everyones’ mind.

Embracing and promoting neurodiversity in the workplace can be challenging. But even minor adjustments can result in significant benefits. When organisations fail to take action to improve working environments for neurodivergent staff they risk low morale, feelings of

isolation, and lower rates of disclosure - if at all. Additionally, they overlook and miss out on the valuable advantages that a more neurodiverse workforce can bring

better leverage the skills of neurodivergent staff. We found the process of creating this guide to be a learning experience for what we’re doing here at CareScribe.
